Audit Director - Operations/Third Party

In the role of Audit Director, you will join Internal Audit team that’s doubling down on winning together. 

Each day you will go above and beyond to: 

  • Oversee multiple audits simultaneously and be first point of escalation for Audit Senior Managers. 

  • Deliver strategic initiatives to ensure Audit is delivering assurance that is best in market, integrating AI, automation, data analytics, and continuous monitoring to deliver scalable, risk-focused audits. 

  • Coordinate team portfolio training to ensure the auditors have a consistent level of capability relating to third party risk, as well as meeting baseline auditing requirements. 

  • Oversee and provide second level approval of work papers.  

  • Responsibility for resource allocation on audit assignments and sequencing of each assignment within the Audit plan. 

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate smooth delivery of audit findings. 

  • Engage across the Audit function to support delivery of assignments where third party and operations related riskare included for assurance identified. 

What you’ll bring 

  • Comprehensive understanding of CPS 230 Material Service Provider requirements (ideally experienced in Auditing this area with any CPS 231 experience favourably considered). 

  • Substantial years of experience in Audit functions/professional services firm. Audit/Assurance experience with Portfolio Management delivery experience (eg: current senior manager or similar level assurance role). 

  • Prior experience in Third-Party Risk management. 

  • Experienced assurance professional or Risk leader with tertiary or post tertiary qualifications. 

  • People Leadership – proven track record leading direct report and able to lead people leaders who report to them.  Strong development and coaching mindset. 

  • Excellent Project Management skills – can effectively operate across multiple assignments and deliverables autonomously. 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement – must be able to face into Executive s at EGM level with confidence.
