Agribusiness Manager 1 - Broker

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with footings up to $80m in a dynamic, growth-focused environment  

  • Become part of a team of three (3) Broker Bankers, all located in Townsville, together with the North Queensland Broker Business Development Managers;

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members while building long-term client and broker relationships 

  • Be at the forefront of agribusiness banking, delivering integrated financial solutions and driving business success

In the role of Agribusiness Manager (1), you will join the Regional & Agribusiness team that’s doubling down on customer obsession!  

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Proactively manage and grow a portfolio of key agribusiness broker partners 

  • Implement strategic business plans and drive competitive sales and income campaigns  

  • Assess economic value and risk potential of new business opportunities 

  • Personally sanction lending within authority and prepare business lending proposals for larger transactions 

  • Lead, coach, and mentor Agribusiness Analysts to achieve professional excellence and compliance 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • Extensive experience in agribusiness banking and/or credit assessment, with a strong focus on the agribusiness sector 

  • Degree qualified, ideally with a postgraduate professional qualification (e.g., CA, PY, ACCA, MBA, CIB) 

  • Demonstrated expertise in credit assessment, risk management, and portfolio control 

  • Proven ability to develop and manage high-value client relationships and drive business growth 

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills within a financial services environment
