Managing Counsel, Employment Law

As Managing Counsel in the Employment Legal Team, you will lead or contribute to the delivery of strategic legal advice across all aspects of employment law. You will play a critical role in managing legal risk, supporting People & Culture and business leaders, and ensuring compliance with evolving workplace legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

Provide expert legal advice on employment law matters including enterprise agreements, awards, contracts, workplace investigations, and terminations.

Monitor and interpret legislative and industrial relations developments, advising on implications for policy, practice, and risk.

Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related documentation, ensuring legal robustness and alignment with organisational values.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll hold a tertiary qualification in Law and are admitted to practice law in Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland, have excellent stakeholder management expertise, and the ability to build credibility with business partners, underpinned by first class communication and influencing skills. As an outstanding leader of people you enjoy the role of mentor and coach, and can demonstrate the following experience:

Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders, People & Culture, Risk, and external counsel and deliver efficient, high quality, cost effective and timely legal services to stakeholders.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to ethical, people-centred legal practice.
