In the role of Senior Analyst – Collections Strategy you will join the Collections Strategy team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.
In this Senior Analyst – Collections Strategy role, you will:
- Develop and implement strategies, score-based cut-offs and policy settings that balance return and risk appetite, ensure strategies are implemented accurate and monitored end to end.
- Monitor delinquency trends and strategy effectiveness; develop portfolio insights and performance diagnostics to enhance hardship, recoveries, and loss-mitigation outcomes.
- Understand and quantify how credit strategies and portfolio performance flow through to operations: expected loss provisions, charge-off’s, recoveries, and capital charges; use this understanding to shape strategy design and ongoing portfolio management.
- Develop and maintain frameworks that move beyond “reporting history” to generate insight and foresight; provide the what, why, so what and now what of credit strategy and portfolio performance.
- Investigate and address defects and incidents within a collections system, identify what is required to address this and share requirements to the relevant technology team to address and implement fix.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Ideally you will be Tertiary Qualified
- Proficient in data analytics tools eg: R/Python/SAS/SQL, and MS Suite (required)
- Experience using decisioning systems e.g. FICO or Experian products (highly desirable)
- Understand RG96 Debt Collections Guidelines, APRA Prudential Standards 220 (APS220)
- Adaptable, independent and a team player with good communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
