Director Balance Sheet Management

As the Director of Treasury Balance Sheet Management, you will be responsible for internally pricing NAB’s balance sheet to drive an optimal balance sheet structure.

  • Represent NAB’s Treasury team in various forums and working groups across the bank.
  • Have the initiative and drive to build capability across all facets of the role.
  • You will be instrumental in shaping and managing how we respond to data risk, business change, business continuity, amongst other areas.

As a Director of Balance Sheet Management, you will join the Treasury team that’s focused on winning together.

In this Director role, you will:

  • Be responsible for developing the Group’s Funds Transfer pricing framework including Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk.
  • Oversight the operational management of daily Funds Transfer Pricing process.
  • Determine appetite and customer price for large single name deposits.
  • Work closely with broader Treasury functions (Portfolio and IRRBB, Funding, Group Liquidity, Portfolio Performance)to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work closely with Bankers, Product, Pricing, Finance and Risk to deliver optimal risk reward outcomes.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the team.

What you will bring

  • Sound experience across Treasury, Markets and Corporate Finance disciplines.
  • Results focused, with a strong ability to lead change and deliver projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to execute successful transactions within tight time frames.
  • Proven leadership background, with the ability to influence at senior levels, and drive performance.
  • Ability to synthesise messaging, bringing clarity to complexity in all forms of communications.
  • Financial markets and products knowledge.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Business or Commerce) or relevant industry qualification (AFMA Accreditation) or equivalent relevant industry experience required.
  • CFA, Master of Finance, CA or CPA preferred.
