In the role of Senior Associate, you will join the Natural Resources and Asset Finance & Leasing, Client Management & Execution (CME) team that’s doubling down on moving with speed.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Provide origination, credit analysis and transaction execution support for Client Coverage and Specialised Finance (including non-resource project finance lending).
- Manage a diversified portfolio of customers across sectors including Natural Resources (precious metals, strategic and critical minerals, bulk commodities and mining infrastructure) and Asset Finance & Leasing (transport & storage, government & defence, heavy machinery, manufacturing equipment, domestic aviation and marine transportation).
- Manage legal and other due diligence documentation with customers and external advisors.
- Ensure all transactions comply with credit policy and agreed deal terms, respectively.
- Facilitate engagement between Client Coverage, Project Finance, and other Product Partners, to achieve a seamless client experience.
- Lead client engagement discussions on risk management and monitoring to support insights on client operations and reporting.
- Coach and develop associates and analysts by supporting their development plans, deepening their sector expertise and strengthening their portfolio management capability.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Passion for the sector and extensive experience working across this industry, ideally within a Corporate Finance, Institutional Banking or Structured Finance lending environment. Experience in engineering, consultancy, legal, or other highly analytical sectors is also appreciated.
- Relevant tertiary qualification with quantitative disciplines such as finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, actuarial studies, corporate law, or related discipline.
- Strong capability in financial modelling, credit writing, transaction due diligence (including financial and commercial analysis) and loan documentation.
- Extensive experience developing transaction structures, preparing robust credit submissions and providing clear, evidence‑based recommendations to credit.
- Strong understanding of market‑related risks, including regulatory, legislative and policy changes that may impact transactions.
- Highly developed communication, relationship‑building and leadership skills, enabling effective engagement across internal and external stakeholders.
