As the Director CRE Portfolio Management, you will be part of the Commercial Management & Credit Strategy Portfolio Management team in Business Lending, that’s doubling down on customer obsession. 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to: 

• Oversee the drivers of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Portfolio Management in Business & Private Banking (B&PB) and Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB).
• Lead the strategy to address stress emerging in the CRE portfolio as well as opportunities.
• Prepare and present materials for both various CRE forums  on both quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the portfolio.
• Lead the CRE Roadmap by sourcing and producing data and insights to support the longer-term uplift in PIM and ARF 230 reporting and processes.
• Preparing accurate forecasts to support the CRE portfolio appetite.
• Prepare reports and board papers as required, focusing on the CRE portfolio including the linkage of Stress Testing results to credit appetite
• Leverage data insights and broader originations data to drive the CRE strategy.
• Monitor key CRE deliverables and the impact on front-book and back-book portfolio performance via ownership of CRE analytic tools/dashboards
• Undertake customer/industry/portfolio reviews and make recommendations to manage overall performance of the CRE portfolio to optimise outcomes.
• Manage CRE appetite as well as supporting guidance.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need: 

• Demonstrated experience working in a similar senior Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Portfolio Management role within Business Lending in the Banking industry.
• In-depth banking experience with deep expertise in CRE banking and exceptional knowledge of credit, capital management and returns.
• Proven understanding of CRE credit drivers, market drivers, business lending processes.
• Demonstrated experience working with common enterprise data systems, analytic tools and analytic techniques with knowledge of data sources, rules/definitions and systems.
• Understanding of macro-economic environment, competitors and market trends in relation to the business lending within Australia.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills along with sophisticated influencing skills to shape outcomes and achieve strategic initiatives.
