As the Director, Portfolio Optimisation, you will be part of the Commercial Management & Credit Strategy Portfolio Management team in Business Lending, that’s doubling down on customer obsession.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Oversee the Business & Private Banking (B&PB) Diversified portfolio and drive the strategy and construct of industry exposures.
- Drive accurate portfolio forecasting; credit appetite statements; industry guidance and proactively address stress and opportunities emerging in the portfolio.
- Collaborate with 1st and 2nd Line business representatives in Business Lending to ensure delivery of outcomes for the portfolio.
- Produce data and insights by taking the learnings and insights from specialist industries and apply to the broader B&PB diversified portfolio.
- Focus on credit portfolio management analysis and capital management across the portfolio.
- Leverage appetite insights and broader origination data to report on and drive risk/return optimisation.
- Monitor key deliverables across B&PB and how they will impact front-book and back-book portfolio performance.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar senior Portfolio Optimisation role within Business Lending in the Banking industry.
- In-depth banking experience with expertise in credit and capital management, deposits and returns.
- Deep understanding of credit drivers, market drivers and business lending processes.
- Exceptional background in data analysis and reporting with proven experience working with common enterprise data systems, analytic tools and analytic techniques with knowledge of data sources, rules/definitions and systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of the economic environment, competitors and market trends in relation to the business lending market within Australia.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills along with sophisticated influencing skills to shape outcomes and achieve strategic initiatives.
