Associate Director Compliance Advisory - Enabling Units

As the Associate Director, you will join the Compliance Advisory T&EO, Digital, Data & AI and Transformation team that’s doubling down on truly serving our customer’s best interests.   

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:  

  • Support the Problem Loan Management and Business Solutions Recoveries Programs. 

  • Provide advice, challenge and or guidance to the specific business area/compliance theme covering the following items: 

  • Change-business & product and regulatory change  

  • Events, breaches and remediation 

  • Risk and Compliance Frameworks and compliance policies 

  • Obligation Management and Licenses 

  • Compliance Risk MRE assigned to businesses 

  • Support business with required training and awareness activities to support Line 1 capability uplift. 

  • Support review and challenge activities (e.g. thematic reviews, testing, Risk views). 

  • Support with business engagement; regulatory engagement preparation.  

  • Work with compliance monitoring teams; and review outcomes of monitoring activities.  

 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:  

  • Previous experience in Risk, Compliance or Legal function in relevant role is preferred.  

  • Sound understanding of lending and debt collections areas will be highly regarded.  

  • Proven experience interpreting regulations and advise on the application of such regulations. 

  • A thorough approach and strong attention to detail to identify weaknesses in compliance arrangements e.g. via reviews of processes, systems, controls, documentation etc. 

  • An ability to form a compliance view on potential compliance risks and the adequacy of compliance arrangements as well as outlining potential options to mitigate compliance risks and issues. 

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey compliance risks and views clearly and concisely for senior leaders.  

  • Strong engagement and influencing skills with the ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders, including to senior level, to deliver outcomes.
