Internal Audit Manager

In the role of Audit Manager, you’ll join a newly established Centre of Excellence Program Assurance team that’s focused on keeping it simple, working collaboratively with the business, and delivering assurance that genuinely adds value.

Each day you will go above and beyond to:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of program assurance and audit engagements in line with the Audit Charter and Annual Audit Plan.
  • Lead end‑to‑end audits from planning through to reporting, providing clear insight on risk, control effectiveness, and delivery assurance for major programs.
  • Identify key risks and assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, supported by high‑quality workpapers.
  • Project manage an audit or concurrent audits, delivering to agreed timeframes and resourcing.
  • Prepare clear and succinct audit plans and reports that reflect agreed scope and provide practical insights.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to enable effective delivery and influence outcomes.
  • Validate closure of audit issues within internal SLAs, supported by robust evidence.
  • Proactively manage risk, compliance, and policy obligations, escalating issues as required.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior Analyst or Manager‑level Internal Audit role, with a strong understanding of risk and control frameworks.
  • Program delivery or project assurance experience (highly desirable).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using data and analytics to support assurance outcomes.
  • Prior experience auditing within Financial Services (advantageous).
