Head of Risk, Arrears Management

As the Head of Risk, Arrears Management, you will join the CRO Personal Bank, UBank, GCOO & NAB Assist team that’s doubling down on providing strategic challenge and advice on material risk exposure and driving sustainable outcomes for our customers.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Provide strategic second line review and challenge of NAB’s arrears management, collection and hardship activities, ensuring alignment with NAB’s Risk Framework and Risk Appetite.
- Lead independent risk reviews and assessments across the end-to-end arrears management and hardship processes to ensure effective management of credit, conduct and operational risks.
- Ensure the adequacy of management information and key risk indicators, ensuring they provide meaningful insight into portfolio performance and control effectiveness.
- Prepare and present high quality risk insights, commentary and recommendations to Risk Committees and Executive Governance Forums.
- Influence decision-making by providing clear, risk-based perspectives on arrears management performance and proposed strategies.
- Provide expert input into regulatory reviews, consultations and supervisory engagements relating to arrears, forbearance and customer treatments.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Proven experience in Risk Management preferable within financial services and with strong credit, operational risk, compliance and conduct risk expertise.
- Strong leadership experience with proven history in the delivery of strategic initiatives that positively change and drive business performance in a sustainable and safe manner.
- Previous experience in collections and hardship processes.
- Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
