Associate Director, Arrears Management

As the Associate Director, Arrears Management, you will join the CRO Personal Bank, UBank, GCOO & NAB Assist team that’s doubling down on providing strategic challenge and advice on material risk exposure and driving sustainable outcomes for our customers.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Support safe implementation of NAB Assist and NAB Care strategies, through robust review and challenge to relevant Executives and Domain Leaders on their risk management performance and outcomes.
- Ensure robust 2nd Line of Defence function for NAB Assist and NAB Care.
- Undertake activities necessary to review and challenge effectiveness of first line risk management and compliance and identify opportunities to support the first line to optimise return within risk appetite.
- Robust contribution on risk and compliance issues and the design of effective mitigation strategies and controls.
- Ensure prospective risk appetite breaches, material risks, loss events and/or deviations from the Risk Management Framework are escalated on a timely basis.
- Leverage specialist skills and subject matter expertise from other Risk teams as required.
- Provide advice on risk and compliance issues and the design of effective mitigation strategies and controls.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Proven experience in Risk Management preferable within financial services and with strong credit, operational risk, compliance and conduct risk expertise.
- Proven history supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives that positively change and drive business performance in a sustainable and safe manner.
- Previous experience in consumer regulatory and/or credit collections.
- Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
