In the role of Analyst, Service Reliability Engineer, you will be part of a team, doubling down on ownership and moving with speed.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to support with:
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex system reliability concerns into clear business impact narratives to drive alignment on priorities, incident response, and infrastructure investment decisions.
- Participating in a 24/7 oncall roster to diagnose and resolve technical issues across web applications (miniapps), microservices, and other technology assets running in the cloud and beyond
- Maintaining infrastructure systems across multiple cloud environments, staying up to date with changes across cloud and NAB systems to ensure ongoing service reliability and adherence to service level agreements
- Monitoring services once live by measuring availability, latency, and overall system health
- Practising sustainable incident response through the delivery of incident response playbooks and automated recovery mechanisms to improve Mean Time to Restore
- Driving continuous improvement through learnings and retrospectives that deliver cost optimisation and improved service availability, recovery, and performance
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Strong service recovery, problem solving, and root cause analysis capability
- Experience supporting operations, service reliability, and change activities related to web applications (TypeScript/React), microservices (Java), and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Some experience supporting operations, service reliability, and change activities related to infrastructure as code and CI/CD tools, including Terraform, Harness, Jenkins, and CloudFormation
- AWS skills including EKS, EC2, S3, KMS, EFS, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, AWS Transfer Family, IAM, VPC, RDS, and Resource Groups & Tag Editor
- Intermediate database skills in PostgreSQL (or similar) to manage RDS operations and change activities
- Some experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Neo OpenSearch, or similar
