Senior Consultant, Growth and Retention

As a Senior Consultant, Growth & Retention in Business Lending Product, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of strategic growth and retention initiatives across our business lending propositions. This is an experienced, outcomes-driven role that partners closely with Product, Distribution, Credit, Risk and Marketing to shape strategy, translate it into delivery roadmaps, and embed change that drives measurable portfolio performance.

 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to: 

• Lead and deliver the growth & retention roadmap for Business Lending products, with a focus on initiatives requiring credit strategy, policy alignment and governance engagement.
• Build multi-year opportunity assessments and business cases (sizing, benefits, risks, sequencing) to support prioritisation and funding decisions.
• Shape customer-led propositions and go-to-market approaches, partnering across Product, Distribution, Credit, Risk and Marketing to embed change through banker and customer channels.
• Provide a strong external market view (economic and industry themes, competitor capability, customer needs) to inform strategy and identify new opportunities for growth and improved retention.
• Track adoption and performance, translating insights into iterative improvements and clear benefits realisation reporting to senior stakeholders.

 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need: 

• 7+ years’ experience in banking/financial services, with demonstrated delivery in business lending, product, portfolio growth/retention, strategy, or commercial analysis roles.

•High-impact communication and stakeholder influence — comfortable shaping strategies, decisions and aligning senior leaders to a clear narrative, roadmap and delivery plan.
• Strong business lending product understanding (customer needs, portfolio drivers, economics/industry trends) and the ability to translate insights into practical proposition and distribution outcomes.
• Experience engaging with credit strategy, credit policy and/or governance processes (highly regarded).
• Proven ability to take ambiguous problems, define the approach, and drive end-to-end execution in complex environments.
• Demonstrated experience translating strategy into a delivery plan, mobilising stakeholders, and maintaining momentum through to measurable outcomes.
• Strong execution discipline: prioritisation, dependency management, risk/issue management and benefits tracking across multiple workstreams.
• A customer and user-centric mindset, strong commercial acumen, and confidence to make decisions supported by data and rationale.
