  • Monitor supplier performance and help resolve risks or issues.
  • Build skills in contract management and stakeholder engagement.

Our people are customer obsessed. They prioritise the needs and satisfaction of the customer above all else. Our mindset encourages innovation, challenges unnecessary complexity and builds strong, trusted relationships as we strive to be the most customer centric organisation in Australia and New Zealand.

This position provides valuable exposure to the supplier and contract frameworks that underpin NAB’s Merchant Services and HICAPS offerings, with a clear focus on quality, compliance and customer outcomes.

You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance of key contracts and suppliers, identifying risks and opportunities, and applying practical, compliant solutions when things are complex or unclear.

As a key member of a specialist team, you will have strong opportunities for professional development and growth through engagement with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, supporting effective supplier relationships and delivering positive outcomes for NAB and its customers.

The role provides exposure to complex commercial environments and strategic initiatives, building capability across contract and relationship management, negotiation, and cross‑functional collaboration. Over time, this experience supports diverse career pathways, including progression into senior contract management, strategic supplier relationship roles, and broader business leadership positions working across multiple teams to deliver enterprise‑wide outcomes.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Provide subject matter expertise across a wide range of complex supplier contracts, ensuring accurate records and artefacts are maintained and that contract performance reporting, obligations and governance activities align with NAB policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor supplier and contract performance, identifying issues early and supporting resolution in a timely and practical manner.
  • Provide advice to product teams on contract management lead times to support delivery against key milestones and deadlines.
  • Act as a key contact for guidance and support across all stages of the end-to-end supplier lifecycle for a large and diverse supplier portfolio.
  • Proactively support the development, administration and reporting of contracts, supplier performance, supplier risk and supply activity, ensuring both NAB and suppliers meet contractual obligations.
  • Prepare submissions for approval and help facilitate the seamless approval and execution of contracts.
  • Assist and support other team members, when required, with purchase requisitions and invoice processing to ensure smooth operational outcomes.

We’re looking for the brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • Experience managing contracts and associated governance activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with confidence navigating complex stakeholder interactions.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and with attention to detail.
  • An understanding of end-to-end supplier management processes.
  • Clear, proactive communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to partner with business stakeholders to deliver the right outcomes.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing external third parties within a business, procurement or support function.
  • Payments industry experience, and knowledge of Ariba and APRA prudential standards, is preferred.
