Senior Investigator

In the role of Consultant, Crime & Integrity Investigations, you will play a critical role in leading complex investigations that protect NAB, our customers and the community from financial crime, fraud and misconduct.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Lead complex, sensitive and protracted investigations across fraud, financial crime and serious misconduct matters.
  • Apply contemporary investigative methodologies to plan, conduct and deliver high-quality investigation outcomes.
  • Prepare and present clear, evidence-based reports to support decision-making, consequence management and control remediation.
  • Conduct investigative interviews using the PEACE model and develop robust evidence and allegation frameworks.
  • Engage with stakeholders, senior leaders, regulators and law enforcement to support investigation and prosecution outcomes.
  • Manage competing priorities, ensuring investigations are delivered within expected timeframes and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior investigators and contribute to uplift in investigative capability.

 We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need: 

  • Strong experience conducting complex investigations in financial crime, fraud, legal or regulatory environments.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end investigations and apply structured investigative methodologies.
  • Experience preparing high-quality reports and briefs of evidence for senior stakeholders or external bodies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across business units and with external agencies.
  • Experience conducting investigative interviews (PEACE model preferred).
  • Understanding of financial crime, fraud, misconduct and regulatory frameworks.
  • Relevant investigations qualifications (e.g. Cert IV Investigations, CFE, AGIS, Diploma or Detective designation) desirable.
