In the role of an Associate, you will join the Product Control Team that’s doubling down on winning together.
Reporting to the Manager Fixed Income, Repo and CF, you'll go above and beyond to:
- Compile daily PL reporting for specified desks ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the bank general ledger.
- Undertake attribution and analysis of daily P&L.
- Provide subject matter expert knowledge of desk trading products including fixed income securities and associated derivative products.
- Accounting for the investment banking fees relating to origination, syndication and related activities
- Present explanation of variances to trader estimates.
- Proactively analyse accounting processes and practices for proposed new product initiatives, product variations or new business structures.
- Completion of the month, quarter, half year and year end statutory and regulatory reporting processes for specified desks within C&IB.
We’re looking for the best and the brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
- Strong analytical, numeracy, problem solving and reporting skills.
- Financial Markets, Finance, Risk Reporting, Treasury or similar experience.
- Relevant Degree Qualified – Finance / Accounting or STEM fields with CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Prior experience in a Product Control Function preferable, ideally at a major bank.
- Strong organisational skills to ensure work is performed within the requirement timeframe, and to prioritise competing requests.
- Knowledge and experience of accounting for derivatives.
