Consultant, Product Insights

In the role of Consultant, Product Insights, you will report to the Head of Mortgage Pricing and Insights and play a key role in delivering high‑impact, data‑led insights to support pricing, acquisition and retention decisions across Home Ownership. You’ll help drive stronger growth, improved customer outcomes and better commercial trade‑offs across the mortgage portfolio.

This role offers exposure to end‑to‑end mortgage pricing and portfolio strategy, with the opportunity to influence key commercial decisions. You’ll work across product, distribution and finance teams to translate complex data into clear insights that inform business strategy and performance.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Deliver timely, accurate and actionable insights to support pricing, portfolio and commercial decision‑making.
  • Identify growth and optimisation opportunities across pricing, portfolio mix and customer segments.
  • Support performance management across acquisition and retention portfolios, including P&L insights.
  • Analyse customer outcomes, including feedback and operational data, to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide insights into distribution and operational performance to support business outcomes.
  • Conduct structured analysis and diagnostics to quantify risk, identify issues and inform recommendations.
  • Develop clear, compelling reporting and visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Product, Distribution, Finance and Analytics to influence decisions and deliver outcomes.
  • Maintain and enhance core insights and reporting assets to support ongoing performance tracking.

What you will bring:

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Commercial acumen, with an understanding of lending economics and portfolio performance drivers.
  • Experience working in analytics, product, pricing or financial services environments.
  • Strong stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency in data tools such as Excel and SQL (Python advantageous).
  • Structured problem‑solving skills and a hypothesis‑led approach to analysis.
  • High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as finance, economics, engineering or data
