Governance Analyst

Our people are customer obsessed. They prioritise the needs and satisfaction of the customer above all else.  Our mindset fosters innovation and creates strong, lasting customer relationships as we strive to be the most customer centric company in Australia and New Zealand.

In the role of Governance Analyst, you will report to the Head of Domain Orchestration and play a key role in providing governance, oversight and reporting across a substantial change portfolio within the Home Ownership Domain. You’ll support effective program, project and portfolio outcomes by applying strong governance discipline, delivering clear reporting, and generating high‑quality insights that support decision‑making.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role within the Intelligent Mortgage Platform. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, delivery leads and program teams, not to run projects, but to ensure projects are tracked, reported and governed effectively. You’ll bring structure, clarity and consistency to how the portfolio operates, with a strong focus on execution and outcomes.

This role is well suited to someone from a Consulting or Governance background who enjoys working in the detail, solving problems, and producing high-quality outputs.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Establish and run governance forums (program, change, risk), ensuring decisions, actions and escalations are clearly captured and followed through.
  • Produce high-quality reporting and insights across programs and portfolios, including status, financials, RAID and resourcing – with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Get into the detail of delivery initiatives to track progress, identify risks and issues, and ensure alignment to governance standards.
  • Support delivery teams with governance requirements, helping them stay on track with frameworks, processes and reporting expectations.
  • Prepare clear, concise and engaging reporting packs and presentations for senior stakeholders and leadership forums.
  • Support budget and benefits tracking, ensuring performance is monitored and variances are understood.
  • Engage closely with stakeholders across Delivery, Finance, Risk and business teams to gather inputs, challenge where needed, and keep information flowing.
  • Turn governance reviews, health checks and data into actionable insights and practical improvements.
  • Maintain strong data quality and reporting hygiene across systems and tools.
  • Continuously improve governance and PMO processes to make them simpler, more practical and more effective.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in consulting environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a governance, strategy or consulting environment, ideally supporting complex change or transformation portfolios.
  • A strong preference for candidates from consulting (strategy, transformation, or advisory) or dedicated governance roles - this is not a traditional PMO or project support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in the detail, synthesise information and produce high-quality outputs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to confidently interact with and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced capability in PowerPoint and Excel, with a high bar for quality, clarity and storytelling.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to connect delivery activity, risks and financials into clear insights.
  • Experience with governance and reporting tools such as Clarity, Rally or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work at pace, manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or a related discipline.
