Associate Director Divisional Controls

In the role of Associate Director, Divisional Controls, you will be part of the Financial Crime and Fraud Domain Divisional Controls team who are doubling down on owning it. 

In this Associate Director role, you will be responsible for:  

  • Engaging and managing senior stakeholders to implement and improve business systems and processes through the use/integration of the risk and compliance framework 

  • Working with the business to support the implementation of controls to manage the requirements of operational risk and compliance 

  • Risk profiling: assisting to identify key risks and design of indicators to monitor 

  • Designing controls: assisting to identify the right key controls to mitigate key risks and manage obligations applicable to the business in partnership with SME (if applicable), and assisting the business to assess control effectiveness 

  • Uplift the control environment and consult on operational risk, regulatory obligation identification, impact assessment and high risk rated change within Fraud Operations 

  • Supporting the development and and maintenance of compliance plans which are owned by the FC&F Domain and Fraud Operations in consultation with risk & compliance partners 

  • Uplift risk management maturity and practices 

  • Consult with the business on regulatory responses and regulatory engagement matters 

  • Track and assist the business to understand and meet its ELT Risk measures 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need: 

  • Experience in 1st line risk related roles with a background in risk management, process, compliance and/or controls. 

  • Experience within a Fraud business would be beneficial 

  • Ability to understand issue and event descriptions and follow work procedures to investigate and interrogate matters so that accurate impact assessments can be made and advice given 

  • Curiosity and an interest in problems and high degree of professional judgement 

  • Following relevant Frameworks, Policies, Procedures & Guidance when dealing with issues 

  • Senior stakeholder engagement
