Consultant Broker Channels

Drive performance, execute change and deliver outcomes across a critical distribution channel

  • Identify opportunities to improve broker channel performance, customer outcomes and profitability
  • Develop and deliver tactical and strategic initiatives from idea through to implementation
  • Partner with Broker Distribution and key stakeholders to drive performance and solve business problems
  • Play a key role in understanding market dynamics and ensuring NAB remains competitive

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team responsible for improving the performance and effectiveness of NAB's broker channel. You will combine analysis, commercial thinking and strong execution capability to identify opportunities, develop practical solutions and deliver outcomes that support growth, customer satisfaction and profitability.

Each day, you'll go above and beyond to:

  • Generate insights on broker channel performance, identifying opportunities, risks and performance drivers across volume, conversion, margin and customer outcomes.
  • Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity across pricing, products, policy, process and service propositions, identifying implications and opportunities for NAB.
  • Translate insights and business challenges into tactical and strategic initiatives that improve channel performance and customer outcomes.
  • Develop clear implementation plans and drive initiatives through to completion, managing stakeholders, dependencies, risks and outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Broker Distribution, Product, Pricing, Credit Policy, Operations, Risk and Technology teams to deliver business priorities.
  • Analyse broker, customer and portfolio performance to understand trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development and execution of broker channel strategies, performance improvement initiatives and business transformation activities.
  • Prepare executive-ready reporting, recommendations and presentations to support decision-making and prioritisation.
  • Identify and address barriers to delivery, ensuring initiatives remain on track and outcomes are achieved.
  • Proactively identify emerging risks, issues and opportunities and develop practical solutions to address them.

We're looking for the best and brightest to deliver for our customers. You'll need:

  • Experience delivering business outcomes in banking, financial services, distribution, business performance, transformation, program delivery or related environments.
  • A demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop practical action plans and drive execution through to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues, identify root causes and implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working across multiple teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Solid commercial acumen and an understanding of the drivers of business, channel and customer performance.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical capability, including the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions and outcomes.
  • Experience developing business cases, implementation plans, executive presentations and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to reporting and analytics tools highly regarded.
  • Experience in broker distribution, home lending or financial services is desirable but not essential.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline.
