Audit Manager - Operations & Third-Party

In the role of Audit Manager, you’ll join NAB’s Internal Audit team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple.
Each day you will go above and beyond to:
- Efficiently deliver and document quality audit workpapers for Operations & Third-Party audits, including walkthroughs, control identification, control design assessments and operating effectiveness testing.
- Support execution of the annual Operations & Third-Party audit plan within agreed scope, resource and timeframes.
- Draft succinct and clear audit assignment plans that reflect agreed scope, key risks and regulatory considerations relevant to Operations & Third Party.
- Form effective working relationships with Operations & Third-Party business contacts to gather information, verify facts and escalate delivery issues where they cannot be directly solved.
- Contribute to assurance insights through use of data analytics, AI-enabled techniques and continuous control monitoring where appropriate.
- Efficiently verify audit-raised issues within internal SLA targets once the business indicates issues are complete, supported by quality workpapers.
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar Internal Audit role with strong understanding of risk and control frameworks.
- Operations and/or Third-Party Risk Management, including familiarity with relevant prudential standards is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to engage and negotiate with influence across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using data and analytics in an assurance function.
- Relevant graduate qualification in accountancy, assurance, finance or IT.
- Prior experience in the delivery of audits across Financial Services would also be highly advantageous.
