Investigative Assistant

In this role, you will join the Crime & Integrity Investigations team within Group Investigations and will provide support to investigation teams conducting complex, sensitive, and protracted fraud, financial crime, and serious misconduct investigations in accordance with the Australian Government Investigation Standard (AGIS) and the NAB Investigation Standard. 

 

You’ll make an impact by:  

  • Providing support to investigation teams in accordance with the AGIS and internal investigation standards. 

  • Accessing NAB systems to obtain data in support of investigation objectives. 

  • Record the progression of investigative actions and decisions. 

  • Assist with the preparation of interview plans in accordance with the PEACE model. 

  • Assist with the preparation of high-quality factual reports for stakeholders and leaders. 

  • Contribute to achievement of an agreed quality assurance score and investigation runtime. 

 

You’ll bring to this role: 

  • Previous experience in criminal, legal, or fraud investigation’s role.  

  • Awareness of the AGIS and contemporary investigative methodology. 

  • Previous experience in the use of investigative case management. 

  • Understanding of the roles of Employee Relations & Fraud Operations. 

  • Exposure to investigations and the preparation of briefs of evidence/reports subject to high-level scrutiny. 

  • Strong written and stakeholder engagement skills.
