Privacy Regulatory Change Lead

  • Lead the end-to-end operationalisation of privacy regulatory change across NAB

As a Privacy Regulatory Change & Compliance Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring NAB is prepared for evolving privacy obligations and reforms. You will be part of team that is owning it and keeping it simple.

Each day you'll go above and beyond to:

  • Lead horizon scanning, impact assessments, mobilisation and implementation planning for privacy regulatory change initiatives.
  • Analyse and interpret privacy legislation, regulatory guidance and emerging reforms to assess impacts across NAB.
  • Translate regulatory obligations into practical changes across business processes, controls, technology, data, policies, training and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple business and enabling functions, ensuring ownership, dependencies and implementation risks are effectively managed.
  • Support business readiness activities and oversee successful transition of regulatory changes into business-as-usual operations.
  • Maintain and enhance privacy obligations, compliance architecture and supporting governance processes.
  • Design and coordinate monitoring, assurance and remediation activities to strengthen privacy compliance outcomes.
  • Develop governance reporting, executive briefings and recommendations to support informed decision-making and regulatory readiness.
  • Identify emerging privacy risks, implementation challenges and opportunities to strengthen controls, processes and compliance capability.

We're looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You'll need:

  • Deep understanding of Australian privacy legislation, Australian Privacy Principles, OAIC guidance and emerging privacy reforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting complex regulatory change initiatives within a large, regulated organisation.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, sustainable business outcomes.
  • Experience across impact assessments, implementation planning, governance, operational readiness and compliance assurance.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management, compliance monitoring, controls and governance frameworks.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in complex and evolving regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication and executive reporting skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Experience within privacy, compliance, legal, governance, risk, information security or regulatory change functions will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of information security, cyber risk, data governance or privacy-related regulatory obligations will be highly regarded.
