The Opportunity

The role is an integral part of our team building and maintaining foreign tax reporting solution for CRS (Common Reporting Standard) and FATCA. The role will be providing critical thinking with a high degree of technical innovation and attention to detail while being recognised as a trusted advisor to the team and stakeholders.

The role and Day to day will include

  • Analyse of business requirements and architecture, design, develop/write code, unit test, implement features that
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering and Squad’s delivery process.
  • Participate in and provide quality assurance activities, including code reviews, white-box unit testing, test coverage for own work, and test framework maintenance. Debugging and fixing code defects.
  • Take ownership and accountability for production services, including fix on fail, problem investigation, root cause determination and resolution.
  • Participate in delivery of production change and releases, understanding change content, executing change control procedures, appropriate technical and business verifications, and communications.
  • Implement monitoring and alerts.
  • Production Support and be rostered as a primary support for critical applications.
  • Maintain Risk Hygiene including vulnerabilities remediation, DB backups, restoration, backup, patching

What you will bring

  • Experience with Java microservices, SQL Database, CI/CD, Cloud (AWS/Azure), Kafka, JavaScript, Github, Gradle/Maven, Sonarqube, Jenkins
  • Apache Spark and Scala experience preferred
  • Effective written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work with stakeholders in Agile environment
