The Role:

As an Associate Commercial Broker, you will provide support to the Business Development Managers and Small Business Commercial Broker Bankers. You will be responsible for both reactively and proactively supporting small business customers and brokers with any complex servicing & administrative requirements that impact their everyday banking. This role is critical in supporting financial growth opportunities within the portfolio.

Typically, your days will include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer experience measured by turnaround times for customers
  • Completing pre-credit decision work including working on files, liaising with customers / brokers and internal stakeholders
  • Achieving agreed team productivity targets by effectively managing team Mailbox whilst maintaining agreed SLAs
  • Proactively identifying any cross-sell opportunities that result in positive financial performance for the team portfolio
  • Providing excellent service to our customers by being responsive, accessible and committed to a resolution

About you:

  • Knowledge of tools, techniques, and practices used to analyse the credit worthiness of a business enterprise through its financial statements
  • Understanding of key/basic requirements of credit to ensure lending applications are completed in line with NAB’s policy
  • Experience in working with broker customers, uncovering their needs and delivering appropriate solutions as well as up selling/cross selling
  • Proven analytical skills involving balance sheets and business analysis, credit writing and debt servicing assessment experience
  • Preferred completion or completing a tertiary qualification in Banking & Finance or a business-related discipline.
  • Preferred previous experience with completing business loan applications
