Advance your career in medical education by taking on the pivotal role of Director of Medical Student Education at the Northern Health Clinical School.
You will provide strategic leadership in delivering the University of Melbourne's prestigious Doctor of Medicine program, overseeing the curriculum and fostering a supportive learning environment.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the development of future medical professionals while collaborating with esteemed colleagues in a vibrant interprofessional setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Program Leadership: Lead the delivery of the Doctor of Medicine program at Northern Health across all four years.
- Academic Oversight: Provide leadership and develop opportunities for clinical teaching programs, ensuring excellence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise between Northern Health and the University, facilitating effective partnerships.
- Student Support: Prioritise student wellbeing through pastoral care and counselling.
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced medical educator passionate about nurturing the next generation of doctors, with a proven ability to lead innovative curricula and provide supportive guidance to students.
You may also:
- Have significant experience in medical student and/or junior doctor education.
- Demonstrate pastoral care capabilities and a commitment to student wellbeing.
- Possess familiarity with the University of Melbourne and its medical programmes.
- Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Hold a relevant medical qualification and postgraduate degree in medical education.
