About the Role
The Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator supports strategic marketing communication initiatives for the University Colleges and Residential Life portfolio, creating engaging content to highlight the student accommodation value proposition and  experience. The role involves sourcing, producing, and distributing marketing materials to attract prospective students, coordinating content planning and production, and organising events to increase awareness of university accommodation options. Additionally, the coordinator manages project tasks, collaborates with various teams, and liaises with external vendors and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strong creative input, administrative coordination, and planning skills across activities including, but not limited to, the development of product, category, and campaign-specific marketing communications materials both printed and online, photography and video content, digital applications, and automated EDM journeys.
  • Support with the ideation, research, and development of key pieces of editorial content to support the promotion of the University Accommodation.
  • Identify, source, and produce engaging key recruitment collateral, marketing content, and campaign assets for use across publications, web, and email channels on deadline, and to budget.
  • Work with colleagues and key stakeholders to determine key messages and audiences for communications, and adapt tone and messaging accordingly.

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders, and excels in a collaborative, rapidly changing environment. They are proactive, able to work independently, use creative thinking to challenge the status quo, and effectively manage stakeholder engagement and reputation.

You will also have:

  • Some work experience within relevant marketing and communications field and tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, business or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation and delivery of integrated marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with creation and production of  various campaign creative assets and content for both digital and offline channels.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
