About the Role
The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and executive support to the Head of the Melbourne Medical School. This role requires excellent organisational, communication, and technical skills, along with discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive matters. The Executive Assistant is a key team member, coordinating meetings, correspondence and events while managing tasks independently and contributing to team-based projects within the School and broader University community.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide sound advice and support to stakeholders at all levels. They exhibit strong time management and planning skills, have a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, thriving in dynamic environments and adapting positively to change.

You will also have:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide advice, sound judgement and support to a range of stakeholders at all levels
  • High level of proficiency in the use of standard application software such as the Microsoft Office suite and demonstrated experience in the production of high quality documents and publications
  • Highly developed skills in time management, setting priorities, planning and organising own work and that of others, in order to meet deadlines

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
