About the Role
Join a dynamic and collaborative team and play a key role in supporting school placements. This exciting administration role offers exposure to a variety of programs and projects, allowing you to gain valuable insight into faculty partnerships. You'll be the backbone of a busy team, ensuring that every placement runs smoothly. From managing financial reporting to processing placement allocations, you’ll provide administrative assistance essential to creating a seamless experience for our students. With a hybrid working model and peak periods that keep things fast paced, you'll be part of a supportive culture that makes the work enjoyable. You'll work closely with the broader team to ensure compliance with university and school policies, while handling key administrative tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-level administrative support by coordinating placement processes, assisting with student placement allocations, and handling tasks related to the recruitment of teaching placements.
  • Managing day-to-day student queries related to placements, and triaging them to the appropriate Professional Experience Officer as needed.
  • Processing financial transactions related to placement activities, including Department of Education scholarships, police checks, and payments to schools.
  • Preparing student placement agreements and schedules once placements are finalised, and monitoring agreement compliance in collaboration with the wider team.

Who We Are Looking For
You are a proactive individual with a strong willingness to learn quickly and get involved in new tasks. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills allow you to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively. With a solid background in administration, you’ll demonstrate confidence in your work, work independently, and show initiative. Your attention to detail and ability to manage complex processes and systems will be essential, as will your financial acumen.

You also have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • The ability to contribute to continuous improvement efforts in administrative processes while maintaining a positive and organised approach to your role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to quickly adapt to new software programs.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
