About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised candidate to support the delivery of Physiotherapy, Nursing, and other programs within the Melbourne School of Health Sciences. Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator and working closely with academic and professional staff, this dynamic role offers variety and the chance to contribute to impactful health sciences education in a supportive team environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining simulation and practical skills labs, including cleaning beds and ensuring general hygiene control.
- Assembling, setting up, and dismantling teaching equipment and materials according to the teaching schedule.
- Providing technical advice to academic and teaching staff on acquiring teaching equipment and materials; liaising with suppliers to source quotes and managing equipment purchase orders.
- Raising purchase orders for consumables and overseeing accounts payable processes to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Maintaining stocks of teaching materials and consumables; organising equipment and materials in storage rooms.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a flexible, proactive individual with strong clinical knowledge and the ability to manage priorities, particularly during busy school terms. You will thrive in a collaborative team environment, engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, and work independently to achieve high-quality outcomes. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, along with University-supported software.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, organise, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, liaise with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and maintain a positive and cooperative approach in all interactions.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
