About the Role
Each of the three Portfolio Leads will support the smooth operation and strategic alignment of projects within one of the Workplace Relations and Integrity, Employment Compliance Directorate, and Organisational Development teams. Reporting to an  Executive Director, you will oversee project workflows, resource management, and quality assurance, ensuring efficient execution of portfolio activities. This role also involves strengthening project management practices across the portfolio and fostering collaborative relationships to support the Chief People Officer’s priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the project management lifecycle for the portfolio, coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables in line with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborating with the CPO Portfolio Manager to ensure alignment with CPO priorities, sharing resources and insights for integrated project delivery.
  • Implementing reporting mechanisms and evaluate workflow improvements to enhance project tracking, delivery, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Managing COE’s programme of work, including operational support, stakeholder communications, and coordination of post-project evaluations to confirm strategic goals are met.

Who we are looking for

You will have a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and open communication to achieve portfolio objectives. You will excel in managing multiple projects with accuracy and quality, possess excellent problem-solving skills to address complex challenges, and demonstrate a proactive approach with discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

You will also have:

  • Significant relevant experience or an equivalent mix of experience, education, and training.
  • Strong operational management skills, including expertise in resource allocation and quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in coordinating projects to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
