About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Enterprise Performance Group, in this newly created role the Director, Enterprise Planning will manage the University’s annual planning process, and coordinate faculty and Chancellery strategy sessions and business planning, aligning institutional strategies with resource constraints and operational realities. This includes disaggregating strategic goals into actionable plans across the University, consolidating these into a single cohesive plan, enabling prioritised resource allocation, and ensuring strategic priorities are systematically translated into measurable actions. Critical to success in this role will be establishing effective and collaborative relationships across the University to bring to life annual and multi-year plans, embedding a planning operating rhythm, establishing quality planning processes and building pathways. The appointee will provide engaging, client and high-performance-focused leadership to the Enterprise Planning team, and contribute more broadly as a member of the leadership of the Enterprise Performance Group, which is a centre of excellence in business transformation and operational performance within the University’s Chief Operating Officer portfolio.
About you
Highly credible and with advanced expertise in managing enterprise-level planning processes, your experience has been gained in large, complex and multi-layered matrix organisations. Adept at producing and presenting detailed, high-quality planning documents, you are proficient in establishing planning standards and tools that ensure clarity and consistency, and in setting measurable and meaningful objectives and key results. Through data-driven analysis, you have the demonstrated capability of providing clear advice, including about strategic resource allocation, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and strategic goals. Deeply curious and a listener, your sophisticated communication and nuanced influencing skills, authenticity, collegial style and ability to read the sub-text are the foundations enabling you to quickly foster strong relationships. An energetic, optimistic, contemporary and authentic leader of significant teams, you build engagement and capacity, and cultivate high performance. Apply your proven integrated strategy planning expertise and genuine interest in supporting, understanding and coordinating stakeholders to play a key role in fortifying the University’s ongoing positioning as a world-class education and research institution.
