About the Role
The Manager, Teaching and Learning Support leads a team of learning designers and educational support staff to drive improvements in subject design, assessment strategies, and teaching delivery using the University’s Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning technologies. This role focuses on building faculty partnerships to enhance academic staff capabilities and improve the student learning experience. The incumbent also oversees professional development programs, training resources, and educational dissemination projects to support transformational teaching and learning practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead teaching, learning and assessment support programs, for faculty groups, small teaching teams and individuals, seeking to adopt transformational approaches to developing more flexible teaching, learning and assessment opportunities for students and staff.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of a wide range of professional development and training programs/seminars and resources for staff to support the pedagogically informed adoption of learning technologies to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment outcomes.
  • Coordinate evaluative and analytical reviews of the effectiveness of using technology in learning, teaching and assessment.
  • Oversee the support for meeting students accessibility needs in teaching, learning and assessment practices.


Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to solve problems and design innovative solutions for effective service delivery. They excel in building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and communicating effectively across diverse academic and professional backgrounds, fostering innovation within teaching and learning environments.

You will also have:

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification or progress towards a postgraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven experience in managing a team of subject matter experts and professionals in the delivery of timely outcomes and collective achievement of KPI’s in higher education settings.  
  • Depth of knowledge and skills for learning, teaching and assessment in higher education, such as pedagogy, learning design and digital learning
  • Proven experience in leading the planning, preparation, and delivery of professional development training programs for adult learners.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
