About the Role
As the Senior Academic Programs Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Faculty of Education’s academic programs through expert administration and coordination. Acting as a key point of contact for academic and professional staff, you will provide guidance on complex administrative processes, ensuring compliance with University policies and the seamless delivery of student and academic services. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with colleagues across the faculty, contributing to a collaborative and student-focused environment while driving efficiencies in academic administration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing student results processing, examinations, special considerations, and academic progress, ensuring compliance with University policies and providing informed advice to staff.
- Coordinating subject timetabling and student class allocations, overseeing data collection and scheduling in alignment with faculty and University guidelines.
- Administering course and subject updates, casual staff contracts, academic workload processes, and student surveys, maintaining accurate records and effective communication.
- Providing administrative support for specialist coursework, delivering exceptional service to students and staff, and contributing to faculty-wide initiatives.

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. With a proactive and solution-focused mindset, you demonstrate sound judgement, initiative, and the confidence to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, providing clear and informed advice with diplomacy and professionalism. A commitment to delivering exceptional service, coupled with a keen eye for accuracy and a dedication to continuous improvement, ensures your success in this role.
You also have:
- A degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and extensive professional experience, ideally in office management or executive support.
- Proven ability to manage complex administrative processes with a high level of accuracy, including maintaining and utilising databases and systems to deliver timely and efficient outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team and engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support academic and administrative functions.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
