Your next career opportunity
As Manager, Estate Planning and Design, you'll spearhead the development and implementation of key priority workstreams for the University's estate. You'll work across all campuses, playing a crucial role in building capacity and capability within the Estate Planning and Performance team. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing short, medium, and long-term property portfolio plans that align with the University's academic and strategic needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implement Estate Planning and Design Framework: Develop and manage new processes to enhance planning and design consistency across the University.
- Develop Strategic Portfolio Plans: Create a 5-year property and infrastructure plan to support investment planning across the estate.
- Lead Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing high-level advice on planning and design matters.
- Drive Reporting and Metrics: Develop procedures for accurate reporting of the University's Estate Planning and Design Framework metrics.
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced property portfolio professional with a post-graduate qualification in a relevant field, possessing extensive knowledge of large, complex property portfolios and the ability to create a unified approach to planning and design at an institutional scale
You may also:
- Have experience developing strategic portfolio plans to support executive reporting and decision-making.
- Possess high-level business acumen and the ability to translate strategy into tangible outcomes.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence diverse groups.

The Corporate Development (CD) team drives the University’s growth and strategic initiatives by identifying and pursuing partnership and investment opportunities. They conduct market research, negotiate deals, and integrate new assets or partners to enhance the University’s value and market presence.

The Corporate Development (CD) portfolio's core objective is to advance University strategy and operations by sustainably driving increased institutional capacity and improving stakeholder experience.
The team is responsible for ensuring that the University’s property, infrastructure, and financial assets/liabilities enable strategy and provide a meaningful competitive advantage. The CD team’s key activities include strategy, planning and performance monitoring of the University’s estate; investment in and development of real property; enterprise portfolio management monitoring and reporting; strategic and capital investment planning and processes; oversight and reporting of financial investment portfolios; treasury and financial risk management; debt raising and management; commercial business development arrangement and execution; sustainability strategy development, planning, governance and reporting; and project communications and engagement support.
