As a Student Services Officer in the University Colleges and Residential Life Portfolio, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing the student experience at the University of Melbourne. You'll have the opportunity to provide essential support to students seeking accommodation, manage applications, and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Your role will directly impact students' lives, making their transition to university life seamless and enjoyable.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer high-quality customer service and information to prospective and current students about accommodation options.
  • Manage Applications: Process and allocate student accommodation applications, troubleshooting issues in real-time.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Work with accommodation providers, residential colleges, and university staff to ensure smooth placement and administration of student housing.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Undertake projects to enhance the resident experience and streamline team operations.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a customer-focused professional with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for enhancing the student experience in higher education.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office packages and have experience with CRM systems.
  • Have experience interpreting policies and procedures to provide accurate advice.
  • Embody the COO values of service excellence and collaborative working relationships.
