Your next career opportunity
As a Digital Designer at Melbourne Online, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the Canvas LMS interface, implementing UI/UX best practices to improve navigation, engagement, and learning outcomes. You'll create high-fidelity interface designs using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, collaborating closely with Learning Designers, Education Technologists, and Academic Product Managers to develop innovative solutions that put students at the heart of the learning experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and Implement UI Improvements: Enhance the Canvas LMS interface, focusing on usability, accessibility, and engagement across various devices.
- Drive UX Excellence: Conduct user research, develop personas, and create wireframes to guide the design process and improve student learning outcomes.
- Create and Manage Digital Assets: Design components, icons, and templates that align with University branding and ensure consistency across courses.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver effective design solutions and propose innovative ideas to enhance the online learning experience.

You are a creative and technically proficient UI/UX designer with a passion for enhancing educational content, thriving in fast-paced environments and collaborating effectively with diverse teams to create intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital experiences.
You may also:
- Possess a strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to create designs that work across various devices and screen sizes.
- Be proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and responsive web design techniques.
- Have experience working with learning management systems or in educational technology settings.
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
