Your next career opportunity
As Senior Finance Analyst, you will spearhead data-driven transformation, converting complex financial data into potent, strategic insights. You will architect and implement a dynamic priority framework, empowering faculties and Chancellery with impactful analyses and visualizations aligned with the University's strategic vision. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders and Finance Business Partnering, you'll deliver best-in-class modelling and timely, accurate insights. This role extends beyond financial operations, partnering cross-functionally to guarantee robust, consistent assumptions underpin all financial models and forecasts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive Strategic Financial Insights: Deliver timely, accurate analysis to support cost optimisation, and develop scalable models to inform key decisions and align with university objectives.
  • Foster Collaborative Partnerships: Partner with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand needs, design tailored solutions, and ensure data integrity.
  • Champion Analytical Excellence: Lead and mentor analysts, promote best practices in financial modeling, and drive continuous improvement within financial processes.

We are seeking a highly autonomous and experienced finance professional with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of transforming complex data into impactful insights within a fast-paced, large organisation. The ideal candidate possesses advanced financial modelling expertise, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to senior stakeholders through compelling data visualization and storytelling. They must demonstrate a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and managing competing priorities with meticulous attention to detail.

You may also:

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Data science/analytics or other relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • It is desirable for the appointee to be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). 
  • Extensive experience in a similar role in a large, complex organisation working with a high degree of autonomy.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group plays a pivotal role in providing financial guidance and leadership to ensure the University’s financial sustainability in both the short and long term.
