Your next career opportunity
As a School Administration Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting the School of Electrical Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering. You'll have the opportunity to work across various administrative areas, from graduate student support to event planning. Your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage diverse tasks will be key in this dynamic role within our friendly, collaborative team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support Graduate Students: Coordinate onboarding, manage travel funds, and provide ongoing assistance to research students.
- Deliver Administrative Excellence: Handle a range of tasks including appointments, recruitment, and financial transactions across departments.
- Facilitate Meetings and Events: Provide secretarial support for key meetings and assist in organising seminars and events.
- Enhance Communications: Update websites/sharepoint, prepare announcements, and respond to queries, ensuring effective information flow.
- Support strategic initiatives: Plan and coordinate activities and assist in roll out of new processes across the school

You are a proactive and versatile professional with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of managing diverse administrative tasks independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment working across gunctional teams.
You may also:
- Have relevant experience in administrative roles or equivalent education.
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Be proficient in MS Office and have a knack for problem-solving.
- Show commitment to continuous improvement and creative thinking.
- Have experience working in complex organisations or understanding of tertiary education (desirable).
