Your next career opportunity
The Academic Programs Coordinator ensures the effective delivery of undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Business and Economics. This role involves supporting curriculum development, managing course and subject changes, and maintaining Handbook updates. The team also handles academic misconduct committees and assignment extension and special consideration applications. Additionally, they collaborate with teaching departments to create clash-free timetables, gather End of Subject Survey data, and promptly respond to escalated student enquiries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery and administration of undergraduate programs by managing course updates in the University Handbook through CAPS, coordinating Breadth subject approvals, and undertaking StudentOne configuration tasks.
- Coordinating student-facing processes such as Special Consideration and Assignment Extensions, BCom Honours admissions, academic misconduct hearings, and other key academic functions including study abroad approvals, FSA, and exam viewing arrangements.
- Contributing to student engagement and communication by responding to undergraduate enquiries via OneCRM and email, supporting orientation and promotional activities, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date content on undergraduate webpages and publications.
- Providing administrative and committee support by preparing reports, coordinating meetings for Faculty Committees, and performing other tasks aligned with the role’s scope as directed by the Manager.

Your proven success in academic program support, coupled with your ability to apply policy when managing complex cases, will be essential in this role. You bring advanced interpersonal skills that enable you to build professional relationships across the Faculty and wider University. Equally comfortable working autonomously or collaboratively, you consistently meet competing deadlines and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
You may also:
- Hold a degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to provide high-level and accurate advice to stakeholders in a sensitive manner.
- Have the ability to deal with a range of people internal and external to the University, and the ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrate problem solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgement in order to deliver creative solutions.
