As Project Coordinator at the Mallee Regional Innovation Centre, you'll play a pivotal role in managing key projects, including our work as the North West Irrigated Horticulture Node in the Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub. You'll have the opportunity to drive innovation, engage with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to drought resilience initiatives. This role offers you the chance to make a real impact on regional horticulture while developing your project management and leadership skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead Project Coordination: Develop, implement, and monitor project plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and strategic objectives.
- Foster Stakeholder Relationships: Liaise with government departments, industry bodies, and community stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Manage Financial Operations: Oversee project financials, including budget forecasting, expenditure tracking, and compliance with funding agreements.
- Drive Strategic Planning: Contribute to operational management, ensuring adherence to policies and preparing high-quality reports for senior management and funding agencies.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a proactive and collaborative professional with a relevant degree and experience in project management, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic agricultural innovation environment.
You may also:
- Have a degree in agriculture, environmental science, business, or a related field with relevant experience.
- Possess strong leadership skills and experience in managing complex projects and teams.
- Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities and experience working with rural communities.
- Have excellent financial management skills, including budget oversight and reporting.
- Be proficient in MS Office suite and various databases for project and financial management.
- Be willing to travel regionally and work flexibly as required.
- Hold a current driver's license.
