About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity presents for an Electrical & Communications Estimator to join Programmed, working within our Electrical Technologies team. As a leader within the team, you will be responsible for estimations and tenders for medium to large scale projects in  NSW across Defense, Government, Education, Commercial and Financial sectors.

Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting the company in securing projects by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and accurately and efficiently estimating project costs and timelines that meet the company's profit targets.

Nature of the position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Ideally, Sydney based but can consider applicants Nationally 

Reporting Line: Branch Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Attend site inspections and client meetings
• Generate scope of works statement to clearly define what works are included / excluded from estimation
• Uses estimating software to generate estimates in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage queries and clarification communications
• Completion of all required estimate detail, summary, and review documentation
• Identifies HSE requirements, labour, materials, hire and subcontractor costs
• Preparation of sales to delivery handover documentation
• Keep up to date with legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, and ethical standards
• Liaise with suppliers/vendors to maximize opportunities through quality relationships

About You

• Experience working on, and estimating for a wide variety of projects
• A solid Electrical and Communications background
• A trades qualification would be highly advantageous
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Experience in estimating software programs
