Programmed Facility Management are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Karratha Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides facility management services to a well-known Oil & Gas Company situated in the Pilbara, WA.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the HVAC Technician is primarily responsible for general maintenance and reactive maintenance of our contract’s facilities.

Duties include:

  • Complete general reactive and preventive maintenance around the facilities
  • Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Australian standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act

About You

To join our team, you will be a qualified HVAC Technician (Dual Trade preferred), who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. The incumbent is a key person within the Team, promoting staff morale while displaying a “can do” and “Team Player” attitude. Additionally, you will provide first-class customer service whilst maintaining a commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times.

 

Additionally you will possess:

  • Australian Working Rights
  • VALID C Class License (mandatory)
  • Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
  • Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (mandatory)
  • VALID Refrigerant Handling Licence (RAC01) (mandatory)
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology (desirable)
  • VALID WA Electrical License (desirable)
  • VALID LVR and CPR Certificates (desirable)
  • Construction White Card
  • Working at Heights (desirable)
  • The following experience / qualifications with First Aid, Building Management & HSE Systems (desirable)

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:

  • Advanced Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Workorder Management Software and Safety, Payroll & Training requirements,
  • Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions.
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others, at all times.
