The Role

We are currently seeking a Training Coordinator for a 6 month maternity leave cover (with the possibility of extension and/or permanency) to join our Defence Industry Internship and Graduate Scholarship (DIIGS) team. This role is ideal for a well-organised, outgoing self-starter who is passionate about delivering quality support to young people eager to forge a career in the Defence Industry. As a training coordinator, your role will include:

• Coordinate recruitment, induction and on-boarding processes
• Facilitate and arrange work placements
• Liaising with universities to coordinate placement timings
• Working with host companies to ensure students and graduates are getting appropriate work experience
• Provide ongoing mentoring and support to students and graduates to ensure successful completion of placements
• Fostering and maintaining effective relationships with Defence Industry companies, universities and VET Coordinators
• Monitoring incentive progression of student and hosts
• Business development for the program, targeting potential host employers and outlining the available incentives
• Coordinate events, information sessions and attendance at career expos to promote program awareness
• Collaborating with our client to report on progress and key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Demonstrate an understanding of safety and a commitment to upholding safety standards
• Pro-active approach to finding solutions

• Ability to build and develop strong relationships with various stakeholders at different levels
• A positive outlook
• Drive and Self-Motivation
• Experience in the training or development roles is favourable

Ability to travel is a mandatory requirement of the role.
