The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to effectively manage and grow the allocated portfolio of customers within the civil and rail industry. This includes ensuring high levels of customer and employee satisfaction, achieving safety and sales targets, and enhancing operational efficiency through diligent project management and adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards. The role requires proactive engagement with employees and clients, identification and recruitment of top talent, and the implementation of innovative solutions to drive safety and business growth. By fulfilling these responsibilities, the role supports the strategic objectives of the organization and contributes to its success in the civil and rail sectors.
About you
You’re an experienced individual with a background in the civil or rail industry, possibly working as a laborer, tradesperson, or team leader. Your strong professional network and deep understanding of industry operations set you apart, and you’re ready to take the next step in your career by transitioning into an account management role.
Your knowledge of civil or rail project requirements, including workforce needs and safety standards, enables you to connect with clients and candidates with confidence. You’re comfortable using a computer to manage schedules, reports, and communication, and you’re eager to develop your skills further in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Identify and convert prospective customers
- Recruit and on-board high-performing candidates
- Conduct safety conversations and toolbox talks & other safety engagements
- Perform workplace drug/alcohol testing
- Investigate incidents, develop incident report, set and manage corrective actions
- Plan & coordinate projects being delivered across major projects including possessions/shut downs
- Ensure job assignments are communicated
- Deliver necessary PPE and equipment required for employees/projects
- Attend site and perform duties for client sites as required

Mandatory Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- General Construction Induction White Card (Essential)
- Rail Category 3 or 1 Medical or willing to obtain (Essential)
- Safely Access the Rail Corridor or willing to obtain (Essential)
- Workplace Drug and Alcohol Tester (Essential, must be willing to obtain)
- Must be willing and able to travel across NSW and stay away from home up to 7 days at a time
- Must be available to work major possession weekends
(Note: Programmed will cover the cost of Medicals and Training/Upskilling for the successful candidate and required qualifications may be in minimum of one network, however must agree to upskill as required by the business)
