About The Opportunity

Programmed Building Projects are currently seeking an Estimator to join our team in SydneyThis is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a team that provides remedial, refurbishment & fit-out services for a variety of state and national customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of accurate estimates, sourcing competitive and alternate suppliers. Working closely with project managers to maximize opportunities that are delivered by internal waged staff and contractors.

Ideal applicants should have experience in large scale residential construction, remedial or general building refurbishment. Applicants must be able to demonstrate qualifications or direct experience in this sector.

 

Nature of position: Full Time

Location: Auburn

Reporting line: State Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee estimating and quoting for existing and potential work
  • Accurately assesses and measures projects
  • Ensure estimates are scheduled and prioritized to meet business needs
  • Use the current estimating system to generate estimates in a timely accurate manner
  • Ensure a disciplined approach is taken regarding pricing and margin control
  • Ensure all spending is in line with the authority matrix
  • Identification of risks and assisting the client and Building Projects in mitigating them to acceptable levels



About You

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have experience in contract administrations with a background in the building industry preferred and be driven to deliver exceptional results.  Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Qualifications in building/construction
  • Proven track record in estimating or related industry experience in a similar role
  • Mathematical competency
  • Current driver's license
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in using Estimate One & Benchmark platforms is highly desirable
