About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Minor Capital Project Manager to join our dynamic team, responsible for managing and delivering minor capital projects for a key water authority client across metropolitan Melbourne. This role will involve overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring compliance with financial, safety, and quality standards. As part of this contract, you will play a crucial role in driving project success while managing multiple projects concurrently.

This permanent, full-time position is based in Bangholme (VIC) and offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and efficiency of a critical water infrastructure network.

Through exceptional project management, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of minor capital projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and manage project risks, proactively addressing issues to maintain momentum.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date, including scope changes and approvals.
  • Contribute to the integration of engineering and project management tools to streamline processes and reporting.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven background in project management, with experience in the delivery of minor capital projects, preferably within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to solving challenges.

Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Experience in managing minor capital projects with a strong focus on meeting timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • A commitment to safety and a track record of maintaining high safety standards on projects.
