We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Bangholme (VIC). This hands-on role involves maintaining and servicing mechanical equipment, with a focus on pumps and water network infrastructure for wastewater treatment. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintain, repair mechanical equipment as part of the wastewater treatment network.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment is running efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs or replacements when necessary.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Keep accurate records of work completed, including maintenance schedules and equipment condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

About You

You’ll have experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with knowledge of pumps, motors, or water network systems. You are reliable, safety-conscious, and thrive in a hands-on, practical environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering quality results.

Additionally, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with pumps, motors, or water network systems.
• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A safety-first attitude with a commitment to following safety procedures.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A good understanding of preventative maintenance and the importance of regular checks.
• Basic computer skills to record and report maintenance activities.
