We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Bangholme (VIC). This hands-on role involves maintaining and servicing mechanical equipment, with a focus on pumps and water network infrastructure for wastewater treatment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain, repair mechanical equipment as part of the wastewater treatment network.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment is running efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including maintenance schedules and equipment condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
About You
You’ll have experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with knowledge of pumps, motors, or water network systems. You are reliable, safety-conscious, and thrive in a hands-on, practical environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering quality results.
Additionally, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with pumps, motors, or water network systems.
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A safety-first attitude with a commitment to following safety procedures.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A good understanding of preventative maintenance and the importance of regular checks.
- Basic computer skills to record and report maintenance activities.
