Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical equipment in the wastewater treatment network.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment runs efficiently and meets safety standards.
- Help diagnose mechanical faults and assist with repairs or replacements as required.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to support preventative maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently to reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including maintenance schedules and equipment condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
About You
You’re a hands-on individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude, a keen interest in mechanics, and you’re eager to learn on the job from experienced professionals. You’ll have a good work ethic, be safety-conscious, and be committed to building a career in the mechanical trade.
Additionally, you will have:
- A genuine interest in mechanical work and a passion for learning.
- Excellent attention to detail and active listening skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A safety-first attitude and a commitment to following safety procedures.
- Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Basic computer skills to record and report maintenance activities.
- Completion of a relevant pre-apprenticeship course is advantageous, but not essential.
